Today we are here interviewing one of the famous soidlers in the struggle to maintain a defense in an old mission known as the Alamo. His name Davy Crokett, but he is having carrige problems in the mean time lets give america a short summary of the Alamo. The Alamo is an old mission in Texas which was controlred by Mexico after the mexican revoultion against the Spanish. After wards during the Texas revolution the Alamo was taken by the Texan rebels. The force that took it was led by a man named Ben Milan, it was taken some time December 1835. *door opens*. Ladies and gentlemen please give a good welcome to an American hero; Davy Crokett. *clap clap clap* Now this interview will be mostly quistions with expected long asnwers. First question, Why did you choose to fight in the Alamo
Crokett: Well we did'nt know that we where going to have to fight any time soon and by the time we realized the Mexican army was already in view so we would not get far if we tried to retareat except for 1 man who deicded to not fight and run away.
Well I guess that answers my 2nd question which was Why stay rather than save men's lives which could have been of use later. Now can you describe the events that took place in the Alamo during that fight.
Crokett: Well they started out with just staying outside the mission and fight from the outside and shooting thier cannons at the mission. They kept that up for 13 days. Then came a small glimmer of hope but did not last long. 32 more men came which brought our numbers up to about 200. It seemed like more wasted lives but they chose to fight. Thier final attack came on March 6 1836, Early in the morning they ran at the mission which in the begging seemed incerdibly stupid but soon I understood they scaled the walls and got in. We fought for 90 minutes before not one the defenders was alive.
